Fourth Growth. Quatrieme Grand Cru Classe in 1855.
Expert tasting note: (2021 vintage) "Medium to deep intensity of ruby-red with purple hints at the rim. The aromas combine toasty oak with plentiful cassis fruit & delicate leafy hints. Lovely, lively cassis fruit on the palate is lifted by good acidity. The wine has core of black-fruit (damson & cassis), graphite & licorice. Fine velvety tannins on the mid-palate give grip, but are not astringent. Balanced alcohol & lively acidity ensure the leafy/blackcurrant fruit on the finish lasts well. The finish is mouthwatering
